One of the greatest, most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to meet is Mike from Attic Abasement .  In this beautiful track, “Australia” from his 2010 release Dancing is Depressing, ancient piano keys battle rusted guitar strings on the deserted plains of Mike’s sullen voice.

Seriously one of my favorite songs of the year.  So I am happy to announce that this album will be our second digital release.  Look for it in the upcoming days on the site, and very possibly on cassette in the near future.

Recorded entirely to tape at an all-analogue studio in Manchester, UK and released on vinyl. We have a band fund and day jobs to fund our music but every bit helps. We are traveling halfway across the world for this studio because it is COMPLETELY ANALOGUE and that’s what we believe in. There isn’t a computer in the studio! It’s an amazing studio with a vintage TRIDENT Console, the same used on Lou Reed’s Transformer and David Bowie’s Hunky Dory.”
