Tomas Doncker – power of the trinity 2011

Tomas Doncker’s fierce hunger in his songwriting abilities, musicality and independent artistry has produced a fruitful and fascinating musical path. Aventura – 14+14 – 2011

Aventura is one of the most unique artists on the scene today. These four young, dynamic guys with a seldom-seen chemistry continue to produce soulful, original excellent music. Aventura fuses bachata (a guitar-based Dominican folkloric music sometimes called the “Dominican blues”) with R & B, hip hop and other American pop and urban styles. Lead singer Anthony “Romeo” Santos’ original songs are often deep, dealing with social issues. Even when they tackle timeless themes, such as romance and heartbreak, Romeo’s approach always comes from a different angle.

Tomas Klus – racek 2011

Tomáš Klus is born May 15, 1986), he is a czech musician and songwriter from the Moravian of the Czech Republic. Klus was born in the industrial town of Trinec, where he spent most of his childhood. In 2011 he released a new album in which he sings about Czech politic and how the people are threated by politicians and how they make fun of normal people and mock them. It was even sung in Český Slavík 2011 (Czech rewards for singers) and the song happened to be very popular among all generations.

Chicago’s one-man sound collage artist, Bigcolour, has just dished out their 2nd free EP along with a new video for the fantastically minimal “Red Silk Bow”.  The track and video alike are strongly reminiscent of seasonal changes which are shown in the Autumn tones/hues and the down-tempo riffage are basically signaling Summer’s end.  Via his Bandcamp page, both of their EPs can be grabbed for free but it also seems that he plans to work with new label (and hometown friends) Gypsy Ancestry.
